Tilia mandshurica Manchurian linden

Arbore mare, cu o coroană rotundă de până la 20 m. Crengile tinere sunt de culoare roșie-violetă și de culoare cenușie-feliată moale. Frunzele sunt de formă ovală largă până la inimă oblică, cu vârful ascuțit. Suprafața superioară este verde strălucitor, iar cea inferioară este dens păroasă, de culoare gri-argintie. Frunzele variază foarte mult ca mărime. Lungimea variază de la 6 la 15 cm și uneori depășește 20 cm. Arborele înflorește în luna iulie cu flori cremoase și păroase de culoare maro-crem, dispuse împreună în corimbi pendulanți. Acestea sunt urmate de fructe rotunde, de asemenea cu părul brun deschis. Este un arbore oarecum discret, considerat cel mai bine ca fiind omologul asiatic al teiului argintiu (T. tomentosa). Introducerile din zonele cu climă continentală pot suferi grav din cauza înghețurilor nocturne. Introducerile din zonele cu un climat mai puțin continental sunt mai puțin afectate.
