Soi bun, cu creștere largă, cu o coroană ovoidală regulată, până la o înălțime de 3 până la 4 m. Acest Taxus este foarte dens ramificat, cu ramuri brune. Scoarța veche este roșie-maronie și se desprinde. Cu o lungime de aproximativ 2 cm, acele sunt relativ scurte. Acestea au o lățime de aproximativ 0,2 cm și sunt de culoare verde mediu. Deși "Overeynderi" înflorește de obicei abundent, înflorirea este masculină, astfel încât nu se vor forma fructe.
