Un cultivar masculin de S. alba cu un trunchi frumos drept sau ușor curbat și o coroană ovală îngustă până la ovoidală. Înălțime până la aproximativ 25 m. Adesea folosit ca salcie polen în peisaj, rămânând semnificativ mai jos. Trunchiul de culoare galben-maroniu până la gri este canelat cu corcodușe. Crenguțele tinere sunt galben-maronii și foarte flexibile și sunt adesea folosite pentru împletituri și coșuri de răchită. Frunzele lanceolate sunt de culoare verde închis și ușor lucioase în partea superioară. Pe partea inferioară, este de culoare verde-albastră. Ambele fețe sunt ușor păroase argintii. Cătinii galbeni apar simultan cu frunzele. Creșterea rădăcinilor este superficială, cu foarte multe rădăcini păroase. Crește în locuri umede și poate fi scufundat temporar în apă, dar prosperă și în locuri mai uscate. Dintre cultivarele de S. alba, "Belders" este cel mai rezistent la boala filigranului.
