O selecție bună din Q. robur, care rămâne semnificativ mai mică decât specia. Arborele are o coroană de formă rotundă și o înălțime de 10 - 15 m. Scoarța este de culoare gri închis, profund canelată la exemplarele vechi. Crengile tinere sunt brun-roșcate. Cea mai izbitoare diferență față de specie este forma frunzelor. 'Pectinata' are frunze în formă de linie, care sunt adânc incizate cu lobi lungi și înguste. Acești lobi sunt drepți și orientați clar spre înainte. Arborele are aceeași inflorescență ca și specia.
