Pyrus sinkiangesis este un arbore mic, oarecum neregulat, cu coroana larg piramidală, semi-deschisă, înalt de 6-9 m. Frunzele sunt ovale, cu vârful ascuțit, distinct de lung. Toamna, frunzele devin roșu purpuriu închis. Arborele înflorește în aprilie cu buchete de 4-7 flori albe. Florile individuale au o dimensiune de aproximativ 2 cm. Perele sunt comestibile. Nu sunt foarte mari și sunt de culoare verde, adesea cu pete de culoare bronz.
Nu este o specie de pere. Pyrus sinkiangesis este originar din nordul Chinei. Uneori se crede că este un hibrid complex care combină speciile Pyrus armeniacifolia, P. communis și poate P. pyrifolia. Arborele poate fi folosit atât pentru valoarea ornamentală (flori și culoarea toamnei), cât și pentru fructificare.
