Prunus subhirtella 'Pendula' este o formă lentă, cu creștere lată și plângăcioasă, de obicei altoită pe tulpina înaltă. Ramurile principale se întind mai mult sau mai puțin orizontal, iar crengile tinere și subțiri sunt puternic căzute. Formează o siluetă decorativă de iarnă. Înălțimea finală de circa 4 m. Frunzele verzi sunt puțin mai mari decât cele ale speciei, culoarea de toamnă este galben-portocalie. Înflorire scurtă, dar foarte abundentă (târziu) aprilie.
