Prunus subhirtella "Autumnalis" este un arbust mare sau un copac de talie medie, cu ramuri înclinate și ușor arcuite. Copacul are o coroană largă în formă de vază. Înălțimea 6 - 8 m. Frunzele se desfac verzi și au o culoare de toamnă galbenă până la galben-portocalie. Înflorirea se repetă din noiembrie până la sfârșitul lunii aprilie, cu excepția perioadelor de îngheț. Florile semi-duble sunt de culoare roz foarte deschis (aproape alb), iar mugurii mai întunecați. Din cauza perioadei lungi de înflorire, planta nu înflorește abundent deodată.
