Prunus serrulata "Sunset Boulevard" este un arbore cu trunchiul îngust și vertical, cu ramuri care se îndoaie ușor spre exterior, creând o coroană îngustă în formă de vază. 'Sunset Boulevard' este un arbore viguros care poate crește între 8 și 10 înălțimi. Frunzele sunt verzi și, uneori, au vârfurile de culoare bronz când se desfășoară. Arborele înflorește cu flori simple albe care au o margine roz. Acestea sunt în formă de farfurie și stau câte două laolaltă. Nu formează fructe.
