Prunus sargentii 'Rancho' este o selecție americană cu o coroană remarcabil de îngustă, de la columnară la vas îngustă. Coroana unui exemplar matur are o lățime de numai 3 m la o înălțime de aproximativ 8 m. Scoarța este brun-roșiatică. Frunzele ovoidale inversate sunt maro la înmugurire, dar mai târziu devin verzi.
