Arbore cu trunchiul subțire și drept. Ramurile inferioare se îndoaie puternic, cu capetele crescând puternic înapoi. Acest lucru creează o formă de creștere grațioasă. Datorită acestei forme grațioase și pentru că arborele crește până la o lățime de numai aproximativ 4 m, a devenit în prezent unul dintre cei mai populari Picea.
