Picea breweriana este un conifer de mari dimensiuni, cu creștere verticală, cu o formă tipică, foarte ușor de recunoscut. Acesta crește cu o ramură centrală continuă în sus, din care se desprind ramuri drepte aproape orizontale. Ramurile laterale care cresc din ramurile drepte atârnă brusc în jos.
