Arbust robust, bine crescut, până la copac mic, cu o înălțime de aproximativ 3 m și o lățime de 4 m, cu o creștere în formă de evantai și o coroană semi-deschisă. Frunzele ușor lucioase de culoare verde mediu devin galbene toamna. Înflorește foarte abundent în decembrie/ianuarie. Florile au o dimensiune de aproximativ 4 cm și sunt de un galben sulfuros intens. Acestea au un parfum puternic și foarte plăcut, iar planta înflorește abundent în fiecare an. Originea exactă a "Pallida" nu este cunoscută, dar planta a fost numită în grădina engleză RHS Wisley Garden în 1958. 'Pallida' este cel mai cunoscut cultivar cu flori galbene și este considerat pe scară largă ca fiind unul dintre cele mai bune cultivare de Hamamelis.
