Ginkgo biloba "Obelisc" este un arbore de dimensiuni medii spre mari, cu o coroană columnară foarte îngustă, care crește între 15 și 20 m înălțime. Ramurile cresc aproape perpendicular în sus, creând o coroană foarte închisă. Frunzele în formă de evantai sunt de culoare verde deschis atunci când se desfac și devin mai închise la culoare în timpul verii. Culoarea de toamnă este galbenă. Forma sa foarte îngustă face ca arborele să fie potrivit pentru utilizarea pe străzi înguste, în piețe (de oraș) și în centre comerciale. La fel ca și alți arbori Ginkgo, "Obelisk" este potrivit pentru toate tipurile de sol și tolerează pavajul. Obeliscul" este rezonabil spre bine rezistent la vânt și foarte rezistent.
