Cel mai îngust cultivar de Carpinus betulus. Rămâne semnificativ mai îngustă decât "Fastigiata". La o înălțime de 10 m, diametrul este de numai 3 m. Adesea, acest cultivar este cultivat pe tulpina înaltă, dar apar și exemplare ramificate de la sol. Crenguțele tinere sunt gri, ramurile mai vechi și trunchiul sunt gri închis și remarcabil de netede. Frunzele sunt de un verde proaspăt primăvara și își păstrează această culoare pe tot parcursul verii. Marginea frunzei este ascuțită și dublu zimțată, iar vârful frunzei este ascuțit.
