Acer campestre 'Baronne' a fost găsit de Eric Larsy printre un lot de răsaduri din pepiniera sa în 2000. Arborele s-a remarcat prin absența mucegaiului. De asemenea, acest arbore columnar de dimensiuni mici și medii crește mai puternic decât alte soiuri similare. Frunzele sunt mai mari decât la alte soiuri și de culoare verde închis.
