"Beurré Hardy" este un par cu o creștere puternică, cu o coroană piramidală destul de îngustă, semi-deschisă, de 4-8 m înălțime. Ramurile tulpinii nu se ramifică foarte puternic. Pomul înflorește în a doua jumătate a lunii aprilie cu flori albe. 'Beurré Hardy' nu este autopolenizant, ceea ce înseamnă că trebuie să existe în apropiere un pom de un alt soi de pere pentru o fructificare bună. De preferință, pentru aceasta se folosesc 'Charneux', 'Doyenné du Comice' sau 'Gieser Wildeman'. Perele de "Beurré Hardy" sunt mari și au o coajă fermă, de culoare verde-maronie până la ruginie.
