Malus toringo (syn. M. sieboldii) este un arbore mic care crește adesea în tufișuri în Europa. Înălțimea este de 4 până la 5 m, cu o coroană ovală sau rotundă, cu ramuri puternic verticale și arcuite. Frunzele lucioase de culoare verde închis sunt ovale până la ovale, ușor păroase pe partea inferioară și au uneori între 1 și 3 lobi.
