Little conspicuous copac mare, cu un semi-deschis în formă de umbră în formă de umbră la coroana rotundă. La fel ca în cazul multor Celtis, crengile anuale pot fi remarcabil de lungi. Sunt brune până la brun-roșcate și uneori ușor păroase. Scoarța mai veche este netedă și cenușie. Frunzele au o senzație oarecum hârțoasă, de la centru până la vârf, marginea frunzelor este dințată.
