Acer platanoides "Emerald Queen" este un arbore de talie medie, care atinge o înălțime de până la 18 m. Ca arbore tânăr, are o coroană îngustă, cu ramuri care cresc pe verticală. Mai târziu, ramurile se lărgesc, iar coroana devine mai ovală. Lățimea finală poate ajunge la 8 până la 10 m. Frunzele oarecum coriacee sunt colorate în roz pal atunci când se desfășoară, devenind verzi lucioase. Toamna, întregul copac devine galben deschis.
