Acer platanoides "Autumn Blaze" este un arbore mare, cu o creștere bună, cu o ramură de inimă continuă și o coroană ovoidală regulată, cu o înălțime de aproximativ 20 m. Frunzele tinere sunt de culoare galben strălucitor până la galben-verzui. Mai târziu, în timpul verii, se transformă în galben-verde. Deosebit de izbitoare primăvara, dar și vara, lăstarii tineri viu colorați dau copacului un aspect proaspăt. Toamna, frunzele devin galbene spre portocaliu. A nu se confunda cu Acer × freemanii AUTUMN BLAZE ("Jeffersred"), care este un arbore total diferit. Se potrivește bine pe bulevardele mai înguste, pe străzi și în piețe. Crește în toate tipurile de sol, dar nu tolerează apele subterane stagnante și solurile turbate.
