Acer ×freemanii AUTUMN BLAZE ("Jeffersred") este un arbore de talie medie, cu o înălțime de aproximativ 15 m, cu o coroană piramidală largă și regulată. Frunzele verzi proaspete, cu cinci lobi, sunt destul de mici și mai puțin incizate decât la A. saccharinum. Acestea au pețiolul roșu și partea inferioară cenușie. Toamna, acestea devin de la roșu-portocaliu închis la roșu intens. Culoarea de toamnă durează relativ mult timp înainte ca frunzele să cadă. La fel ca toate A. x freemanii, "Jeffersred" se dezvoltă bine în majoritatea solurilor, cu condiția ca acestea să nu fie prea calcaroase. Deși planta este femelă, nu se formează aproape deloc fructe. Arborele a fost descoperit la sfârșitul anilor 1960 de către Glenn Jeffers de la pepiniera cu același nume, dar nu a fost denumit până în 1980.
